In the field of parapsychology, clairsentience is a form of extra-sensory perception wherein a person acquires psychic knowledge primarily by feeling. The word "clair" is French for "clear" and "sentience" is derived from the Latin sentire, "to feel". Psychometry is related to clairsentience.
